Cash or Check Balances, will you Charge them a Fee?
We
know you value convience so while we build our own ATM network,
you will be able to use any bank ATM in the U.S. that's
a member of the STAR Network. Hometown Star customers will
have this privilege with no foreign transaction fee"
for unlimited usage, and all other personal Hometown checking
plans offer it at least 3 times per month. Upon request,
we will also refund any convenience fee charged by the ATM
owner, up to $2 per transaction, according to the terms
of your checking plan. Net result, free access to more ATMs
than you'd expect from a giant bank.
Q:
Is it true that HomeTown Bank handles Overdrafts Very Differently?
Yes. If you overdraw
your checking account, we will call you. You tell us the
number to call, and we’ll make one attempt so that
you can come in with guaranteed funds before noon that day
to cover the check(s) and pay only half the overdraft fee.
And we make overdraft protection something special in the
banking world, too. First, we offer it to all checking account
holders. Second, we charge you NO TRANSFER FEE to cover
an overdraft if you sign up for overdraft protection from
a HomeTown Bank deposit account or line of credit. Tired
of finding out you overdrew when you get a computer postcard
two or three days and many fees later? Sick of paying up
to $10 to have your own money transferred as you pre-arranged?
