How to Enroll

Mobile Website

 

Our mobile website allows you to securely access your accounts, view your balances and history, make a transaction including transferring funds and paying bills. You can use any web-enabled device with a wireless data connection.

  1. Log on to HomeTown Bank’s Online Banking
  2. Go to the Options tab
  3. Go to Mobile Settings
  4. Go to Web Mobile Settings
  5. Check the box that says “enable web access”
  6. Enter your mobile phone number and select your wireless provider
  7. Select the accounts you want to enable.
  8. Click  the Submit box
  9. Review, accept the terms and conditions and click Confirm
  10. You will receive a text from us confirming your enrollment

Mobile App for Smartphones and iPad

Download HomeTown Bank’s free mobile app, designed for iPhone and Android phones. It’s very user-friendly to check your balances and history, make a transaction including transferring funds and paying bills. Plus, you have access to deposit checks with Mobile Deposit.

  1. You will first need to be enrolled in Online Banking.
  2. Download the “HomeTown Bank VA” App from your devices store and follow instructions presented to complete installation.

Mobile Deposit

Making a deposit has never been easier with HomeTown’s Mobile Deposit. Mobile Deposit is a feature available within the HomeTown Banking App for smartphones. To complete a deposit, it’s as easy as taking a picture!

  1. To use this service, please install either the iPhone or Android App (enrollment instructions above).
  2. Complete the enrollment request form located here and list the personal checking or savings account(s) you wish to deposit checks via Mobile Deposit.
  3. You will receive notification confirming your enrollment. Some restrictions may apply.

Text Message Banking (SMS)

With Text Message Banking , you can receive basic account information via text. You can securely look up your account balances or recent transaction history by sending a text command to HomeTown Bank. The text commands are the following:

Bal  All Acctount Balances
Bal Mobile Short Name –  Single Account Balance
Hist  All Accounts Recent Activity
Hist Mobile Short Name–  Single Account Activity
Help – Text commands
Stop –  Cancel

 

  1. Log on to HomeTown Bank’s Online Banking
  2. Go to the Options tab
  3. Go to Mobile Settings
  4. Go to Text Mobile Settings
  5. Check the box that says “enable text access”
  6. Enter your mobile phone number, select your wireless provider and select the accounts you want text access. You will also need to create a mobile short name for each account you select.
  7. Click the Submit box
  8. Review, accept the terms and conditions and click Confirm
  9. You will receive a text message indicating your request. Reply "YES" to activate the service
  10. You will receive a text back confirming your enrollment
