Mobile Website

 

Our mobile banking website allows you to securely access your accounts, view your balances and history, make a transaction including transferring funds and paying bills. You can use any web-enabled device with a wireless data connection.

  1. Log on to HomeTown Bank’s Online Banking
  2. Go to the Options tab
  3. Go to Mobile Settings
  4. Go to Web Mobile Settings
  5. Check the box that says “enable web access”
  6. Enter your mobile phone number and select your wireless provider
  7. Select the accounts you want to enable.
  8. Click the Submit box
  9. Review, accept the terms and conditions and click Confirm
  10. You will receive a text from us confirming your enrollment

Mobile App for Smartphones and iPad

Download HomeTown Bank’s free mobile banking app, designed for iPhone and Android phones. It’s very user-friendly to check your balances and history, make a transaction including transferring funds and paying bills. Plus, you have access to deposit checks with Mobile Deposit.

  1. You will first need to be enrolled in Online Banking.
  2. Download the “HomeTown Bank VA” App from your devices store and follow instructions presented to complete installation.

Mobile Deposit

Making a deposit has never been easier with HomeTown’s Mobile Deposit. Mobile Deposit is a feature available within the HomeTown Banking App for smartphones. To complete a deposit, it’s as easy as taking a picture!

  1. To use this service, please install either the iPhone or Android App (enrollment instructions above).
  2. Complete the enrollment request form located here and list the personal checking or savings account(s) you wish to deposit checks via Mobile Deposit.
  3. You will receive notification confirming your enrollment. Some restrictions may apply.
Apple Pay

Apple Pay is designed with security in mind so your card number isn’t stored on your device or on Apple servers. When you make a payment, your card numbers are converted to a unique, transaction-specific code so your card numbers aren’t transmitted with the payment or shared with the merchant.

To make a payment, just hold your compatible Apple device near a contactless reader at a participating retailer with your finger on TouchID. You don't even have to open an app! Just look for the icons below at checkout.

  1. To add your HomeTown debit card to Apple Pay, simply open the Passbook app on your eligible iPhone running iOS 8.1 or higher
  2. Apple Watch users can add cards to Apple Pay by opening the Apple Watch App on their eligible iPhone running iOS 8.2 or higher
  3. If you already have a HomeTown Bank debit card on file with Apple iTunes®, you can import it into Apple Pay by entering the security code on the back of your card
  4. To add your HomeTown Bank debit card, just enter your card information use the device camera of your eligible iPhone to capture and import the information. Apple Pay will validate the info with us before the card is ready to use

Text Message Banking (SMS)

With Text Message Banking, you can receive basic account information via text. You can securely look up your account balances or recent transaction history by sending a text command to HomeTown Bank. The text commands are the following:

Bal  All Account Balances
Bal Mobile Short Name –  Single Account Balance
Hist  All Accounts Recent Activity
Hist Mobile Short Name–  Single Account Activity
Help – Text commands
Stop –  Cancel

 

  1. Log on to HomeTown Bank’s Online Banking
  2. Go to the Options tab
  3. Go to Mobile Settings
  4. Go to Text Mobile Settings
  5. Check the box that says “enable text access”
  6. Enter your mobile phone number, select your wireless provider and select the accounts you want text access. You will also need to create a mobile short name for each account you select.
  7. Click the Submit box
  8. Review, accept the terms and conditions and click Confirm
  9. You will receive a text message indicating your request. Reply "YES" to activate the service
  10. You will receive a text back confirming your enrollment
